Pressing this button starts the analysis. Once the analysis is
complete, pressing the 'View
Results' button will
display a full breakdown of the result.
During the analysis the following occurs:
- Relevant sequence data is extracted from the one or more
databases loaded and stored in a temporary file (within the 'Temp'
directory associated with this program).
- Each stored sequence is then considered against the primer set or
probe entered by the user. OligoCheck records how many
mismatches
are required for the primer set or probe to match with the sequence, up
to a maximum of 7 (or less, if defined by the user; see options menu).
- Analysis complete a brief results summary is presented in the
main
window text box. More
importantly,
the 'View Results' button becomes enabled, and pressing this displays
the
full outcome of the analysis in a separate window.
