This panel displays the effect that an increasing number of base
mismatches
has on the ability of the primer set or probe in question to describe a
particular group of sequence records. The blue line plots the
percentage
of records within that group that is targeted by the primer set
or
probe, as the number of base-mismatches allowed increases. The
red
line, in contrast, plots the percentage of records outside of
that
group that match with the primer set or probe. Thus, at a glance
the user is able to see how effective the primer set or probe is in
describing that group relative to all other records within the
database. The
plot for a particular group is displayed by the user clicking on that
group
with the mouse.
Right-mouse-clicking on the graph displays the associated context menu,
allowing
the user to copy the data to another application such as a spreadsheet,
or
print the graph.
