Sequencing Errors


Continuing improvements in sequencing technology means that sequencing errors are more likely to be seen in older sequence records; new sequence submissions tend not to exhibit such errors.  Whilst sequencing errors can cause problems, most result in obviously degenerate sequences which are easy to spot and eliminate.
